Input/Output (I/O) Configurations
The MG32/14FX is a 32-channel console with extensive connectivity designed for complex setups.
Inputs:
Mono Channels (1-24): Each has an XLR microphone input and a 1/4″ TRS phone jack line input, plus a 1/4″ TRS insert I/O for external processing.
Stereo Channels (25/26, 27/28, 29/30, 31/32): Offer 1/4″ TRS phone jacks and RCA pin jacks for line-level sources.
Microphone Preamps: All mic inputs feature high-performance preamps and globally switchable +48V phantom power (available in banks of 8 channels).
Outputs:
Main Stereo Out: Balanced XLR outputs for the primary mix.
Group Out (1-4): Balanced 1/4″ TRS outputs for sub-mixes.
Aux Sends (1-6): Balanced 1/4″ TRS outputs for monitor mixes or external effects sends.
Effect Sends (1 & 2): Dedicated sends to the internal effects processors.
Mono Out: An XLR output with a variable low-pass filter, ideal for driving a subwoofer.
Recording Out: RCA pin jacks for connecting to external recording devices.
Phones: A 1/4″ stereo jack for headphone monitoring.
Dual SPX Digital Effects Processors
The mixer includes two independent, high-quality Yamaha SPX effects engines, each offering 16 versatile programs.
Processor 1 Programs:
Reverbs: Hall 1, Hall 2, Room 1, Room 2, Stage 1, Stage 2, Plate, Delay
Other Effects: Chorus, Flange, Phaser, Auto Wah, Distortion, Reverb/Delay, Reverb/Chorus, Vocal Echo
Processor 2 Programs:
Features an identical set of 16 programs, allowing you to use two different types of effects simultaneously (e.g., a reverb on vocals via one processor and a delay on an instrument via the other).
